THE MILLENARY OLIVE TREES (SL-CV-58)
DISTANCE: 5,8 Km
HEIGHT DIFFERENCE OF THE ROUTE: 60 m
ROUTE DURATION: 1 h 30 min
Spread throughout Canet lo Roig’s municipal district, we can find olive trees that have faced the time and have turned into monumental trees that have an exceptional beauty with an age of more than two thousand years.
Olive oil, which has been present in the region since Roman times, has been obtained from the fruit of the olive trees. It has not only been used as a food source but also as ointment, medicine, cosmetic use and for religious rituals. Olive trees that supplied olive oil to the inhabitants of these places during the Roman times, now supply that element (olive oil) to the inhabitants of the present.

DISTANCE: 14,6 Km
HEIGHT DIFFERENCE OF THE ROUTE: 168 m
ROUTE DURATION: 4h
The Cervol River has a length of 59 km. Its source is located in Cap de Riu, to the east of Morella. Following its path, it is known that the river flows into the Mediterranean Sea and it crosses the municipal districts of Vallibona, Rossell, Canet lo Roig, Traiguera, Sant Jordi and Vinaròs.
During the greater part of the year the river is kept dry, with the exception of some places which have fountains that provide the surface with water. The existence of upwelling zones like the one that is in the Mas del Coll, allow the presence of water around these points. The aforementioned waters are gathered in pools such as the ones of Les Cadenes and Les Vaques. These pools are often located in areas where water erosion has shaped the rock, giving way to formations where water can almost always be found.
