SANTA ISABEL’S CHAPEL AND HERMIT’S HOUSE

In the southern part of the village and in the middle of the flatland, we can find the chapel of Santa Isabel along with the remains of the ruined house of the hermit. It is said that this construction is of medieval origin and it is made of masonry and ashlars. It has a single nave covered with a slightly pointed barrel vault which is supported by four impressive buttresses on its east side. The front door, oriented toward the midday sun, is protected by an arched atrium.

Although the chapel is closed to the religious cult, it is opened every year to celebrate its pilgrimage, the Sunday after the festivity of Corpus.
